While browsing the links on /r/startups last week, I came across a link by Kevin Ohashi titled 2000+ potential brandable startup domains available to register. Everyone always assumes that all of the good domain names were already taken so I was surprised to learn that, not only did he have over 2,000 domain names, he actually had over 26,000 potentially brandable, unregistered domain names!

The size of list got me thinking, there’s got to be a better way to display these names. And since they’re all potentially awesome, why not display them randomly? It was at that point that I remembered the What the Fuck Should I Make for Dinner and What The Fuck is My Social Media Strategy websites. I figured I could make a website like those and call it “What The Fuck Should I Name My Startup?“

I got permission from Kevin to use his list of names and went to work. Three days of hacking and whatthefuckshouldinamemystartup.com is ready. Click on “That name fucking sucks” to cycle through the domain names. If you find a name that you like, click on “That name fucking rocks!” to register it with namecheap.com. (note: affiliate link attached.) Finally, I suggest that you visit the about page and donate some money to Kevin for all of his hard work.
